We helped the Yankees win a championship two years ago by trading them David Justice. (Please don't disagree, it's just too darn obvious) I think we got Zach Day, Jake Westbrook, and Ricky Ledee for Justice.

Zach Day turned into Milton Bradley.

Ricky Ledee turned into David Segui (thankfully)

Milton Bradley has yet to significantly contribute for us, but he probably will. Jake Westbrook is still unfulfilled potential.

We trade Robbie Alomar to the Mets, and the one tangible we have to show at this point is Matt Lawton. Whose numbers this year are equivalent to Robbie's.

Now we may trade Matt to the Yankees...leaving us with between 6-8 prospects to show for the Robbie Alomar trade.

And once again, we may help the Yankees win a championship this year.

If Ricky Gutierrez is included in any Matt Lawton to New York trade talks, sudden we free up 33 million dollars which can go toward re-signing Jim Thome.
